The Lord has been blessing me by bringing men of God into my work. In my previous life, business meetings started with easy banter and the "getting to know you" conversations. Then one person would start the meeting with, "Lets get started" Or, "Where are we with...?"
Recently I had a dinner meeting with three men I had never met. Early
in the meeting I tentatively used the words "faith" and "thankfully
been given gifts to..." The elder gentleman said something like, "Hey
are you one of those 'out-there' Christian guys?" I immediately
responded, "Absolutely!" He replied, "Amen, so are we." Before our
meal at the restaurant he led us in prayer." At the end of our
meeting we prayed for wisdom and thanked the Lord for our fellowship.
Wow! The closer we are to Him the closer he is to us.
I believe the Lord is giving me positive feedback and opportunities to
learn how to express my faith in business.
Also, when I do express my
faith, my accountability and responsibility increases exponentially. I
become responsible and accountable to my Lord. And that gives me
motivation with peace of mind.
What do you do to express your faith in business? I was afraid to (and still am in certain circumstances), but now, with encouragement I feel a bit bolder.
What do you do? How do you handle it? Any help, or words of wisdom?
